Bucket List

Bucket list

I am the sort of person that wants to do everything, I want to see, hear and smell as much as possible in my life. I never think 'that's too big, I probably can't achieve it.' You should never let reality get in the way of your dreams, dreams and ambitions should have a certain amount of impossible running through them- it makes the victory of achieving them so much greater.
My bucket list will never be complete, a picture in a magazine, an article in a newspaper  or someone describing an experience they have had, will catch my attention and- bang its on my list. Sitting here now I have already added three!
So here it is....

1:This is number 1 in every way, my epic dream. I want to travel the whole of Australia. I would love to pack up my family, fly to the other side of the world, and live in a camper van for three months. When you are a family of six this maybe some peoples idea of hell, but what an amazing opportunity to bond. On our adventure we would go to Cairns and ride the kuranda scenic train, driving past beautiful scenery including a cascading waterfall and lush green rainforest. We would dive on the Great Barrier Reef and visit Australia Zoo- amongst many, many other activities.

2: Here's another family holiday- Safari in Africa. We would stay in a tent camping under the African stars, the threat of a snake or a spider causing me to run for the jeep- would give my hubby endless amusement.  All six of us climbing into a waiting jeep in the hot sun, after enjoying breakfast out in the open. We would ride over pot holes in the red sand on the hunt for the big five.

3: Here's a cliche- visit Borneo and cradle an orangutang. A species so close to our own would be incredible to observe and interact with up close.

4: My mother was present at my first borns birth and my best friend witnessed her niece entering the world. Both woman describe it as a life changing event, they speak about the rush of emotions you feel at witnessing new life. I would love to be present or even act as a support at a birth. To be invited to witness such an intimate event, would be an honour.

5: Another Cliche- to see my brothers get married to someone they love.

6: Here's an adrenalin one- I would love to be lowered in a cage, to look into the eyes of Great White Sharks. To see these huge animals, the king of the ocean up close would be breath taking, yes it would be terrifying and I may chicken out, but what an experience!

7: My husband will tell you I am the worst passenger in a car. I shout at him, inhale sharply when he attempts to overtake and I grip my door like he's driving off a cliff. However a part of me (probably the child part) would love to be a passenger taken on a lap with a racing driver (Jenson Button preferably).

8: A massive family holiday to Disney World. I would love to hire a huge Villa with a pool and fly out to Florida with my parents, my brothers and of course my hubby and Kids. The joy on my children's faces when they meet Mickey Mouse, see the castle and watch all the characters pass by in the parade would be indescribable. I imagine their chins falling open and their eyes wide in awe.

9: This one I would achieve during the holiday to Florida. Climb aboard an airboat and observe the Alligators and American Crocodiles. My three year old son on hearing my plan, cowered and said "please mummy no" I hope to change his mind.

10: An amazing summer day would be to gather a group of friends and race hovercrafts.

11: Number 11 I am sad to say should have been ticked off by now. I would like to enjoy a holiday with girlfriends. A cheap trip somewhere hot for relaxing, partying and tanning. This would have happened 4 years ago for my hen weekend, however my beautiful boy arrived eight weeks before the wedding. I didn't want to be heavily pregnant and on holiday unable to drink or feel mildly attractive. The option of postponing the wedding was never discussed it took my hubby four years to set a date!

12:  It would be a dream come true to walk into a bookshop, and discover my novel amongst the shelves.

13: I grew up with an obsession for musicals. The King and I, Evita, The Wizard of Oz and Grease. (Note the last one) I would love to watch a movie at a drive in cinema.

14: Shakespeare has always fascinated me the complex language that flows effortlessly. I have walked past the globe theatre in London, but I would love to watch a play inside. Experience watching his plays inside his heart.

15: Sex on the beach.

16: Visit Cristo Redento in Rio De Jenero.

17: I want to live in a different country for a minimum of a year. My country of choice would be Australia, however I would welcome the opportunity to experience anywhere.
